No route came to represent the birth of US sport climbing more than this overhanging arete. Naturally photogenic, it made the cover of Newsweek in 1993, and supposedly inspired the artwork for the Clif Bar wrapper. After an easy start, puzzling slaps up the razor arete gives way to a heroic dyno for a jug at the roof.
Really stoked to climb this one. Tried it first is 2017 during a full solar eclipse. I don’t think you need a big span to climb - you can teck your way up the arete.
