Start sitting, right hand on a decent sidepull left hand low, around the arête. The first move is to use a left heel hook, and to reach up left to a gaston. Continue up the blunt arête. Originally suggested to be hard V15, but Jimmy Webb made very quick work, suggesting the downrate.
3rd ascent. Such a dope problem! So cool that Dave found and created this guy. Not many people have that hard work ethic accompanied by the vision needed to see things like this. A true pioneer no doubt. Painful rock but amazing climbing on a stunning feature. Climbed it in 30 minutes so for me it feels a bit below 8C. Nonetheless i'm stoked to have climbed it! Rad!!
Such a sick new addition to Elkland. One of my favorite problems that I have climbed. Dave has done it yet again with establishing anotha stunna. I was lucky enough to have freak conditions. There was a very cold, dry wind blowing....snow flurries... and just the right amount of moisture to stick perfectly to the grips. Though it went in a session, this boulder is hard. It is powerful, finicky, and requires precision. The rock will eat your tips very quickly. A true CO test piece. Numbers are finicky, but are not the only thing thing that matters.
