This is a king line of Hatcher Pass and a must-do. It is one of the tallest problems anywhere in Hatcher Pass and should not be taken lightly, but the striking, featured arete on the vertical face makes this one of the best problems. Sit start on a jug below a small roof and gain the arete and the vertical face, possibly the hardest part of the climb. Follow features on the arete to the crux, a layback on a foot smear about 15 feet up. A positive crimp rail awaits just out of reach. A rope is useful for descending the problem, otherwise a committing jump across to the other boulder should be possible, but frightening.
