truly amazing
this one felt particularly good. i tried this problem a few years ago when i had just started getting some v6s in the gym, hopeful that i would be able to tackle it. i couldn't do more than the first move, but it kindled my motivation to improve.
fast forward to today. i spent the last couple weeks in a forced but needed rest from climbing, looking after my parents' dog in my hometown. i was an hour closer to devil's lake so i thought maybe i'd bring my pads and shoes home and consider a solo trip. i hadn't gone bouldering alone before.
i saw the temps today and made the decision to go the night before. i loved the solo process. i was able to really take my time to be in the moment and do every single thing at my own pace. getting the send was nice but this boulder represents a lot more to me than just getting to the top.
i think i'll be doing a lot more solo trips in the future.
