Not sure where to start with this one. Thrilled to send my hardest climb to date of course. Grade aside, this is likely the most limit climb I’ve sent and it still went down pretty quick which is very exciting. This comes at the end of one of the most important and impactful weeks of my life and really excites me for what lies ahead.
Now for the obvious grade discussion. Seeing as how I just sent my first V8 two days ago I find it a little hollow to send a supposed V10 in around 10 ground attempts. It did feel harder than Greenpeace stand felt for me, but not by a huge margin. My finger tweaks are also getting significantly better every day which unlocks new power for me, so obviously the problem is a little too complex to have a simple answer…
Again, sorry to the family with young children at the Icebergs today.
[2026 edit] I can see the problem being much harder for those without comparable reach and I think an 8/9 grade might be a logical resting place for this climb eventually. It was definitely very hard for me, and certainly contributed in a major way to my shoulder problems that ended the season for me. But given the context and my experience on the climb I would feel a bit disingenuous taking anything above V8. Cheers.
