Climb up the throat of this sandstone titan from one of two possible starts. The problem was originally a hug-fest from a hueco to the left and the right arete using a large flake foot. Most people today instead begin matched on a hueco undercling and climb the tafoni edges out the left arete. Either way, so aesthetic.
Finally sent this after 3 trips here. I would always get close, but ended up missing the move after the sloper. Also, after a few tries, my fingers get cut up and I would end up bleeding… which ultimately made the next tries worse.
But, luckily, I ended up sending this on my first attempt today. The key was to make sure I was fully warmed up and had all my fingers taped before touching the holds and trying the moves.
So satisfying to get to the top of this beast!
