What a classic example of a gritstone arête! Weird, slopey, and with significant texture, this is a must-do! Sit start using an undercling and your feet on a shelf. Slap between slopers and writhe your fingers into the gritty pocket to enter a unique sequence. This line is much harder if you're tall, or are climbing in warm conditions, but will feel V5ish for shorter climbers.
Really cool movement. I used a unique pinky mono on the left side of the arete- not something you see every day. This method was different from the original method, which stayed directly on the arete instead of reaching left, but this felt the most natural to me.
