Although the area is referred to as Arta, most of the climbing is below the lake, with some of the best climbing located within 10 minutes of the road. Arta has and will likely continue to be the best summer bouldering in Utah. With that being said, it has been under the radar for years. Try not to overcrowd boulders or be obnoxiously loud. Keep campsites tidy to avoid interactions with Bears. This place is known for its adventure bouldering. While I would love for you to use this guide, I also highly recommend just hiking around and finding some new lines to clean, there are still hundreds and hundreds of untouched boulders out there! Please, no chipping. Raspberries are in season in late August. There are two different ways to access this area. My preferred path (coming from SLC) is to drive FR135. FR135 is accessed just before Hannah, Ut. Take a dirt road through ranch pastures and follow it for about 30 minutes. After going up and down some steep terrain with switchbacks and logging trucks, turn left before the bridge. Take another dirt road to your desired parking location. I find it helpful to drive to this pin 40.527608743667834, -110.74701027931042 and then to the desired parking pin. Note: This road is very dangerous when wet. The other way to access Arta is to drive FR134 AKA Rock Creek Road. From SLC, this adds 20-30 minutes to your drive. However, if there has been weather, this road is much safer. This route is also preferred for cars without 4x4 capability. Make sure you have a spare tire and drive slow
