Eldon has the highest concentration of boulder problems in the Sandstone area. It is located across the Kettle River from Robinson Park. The popular Beach Boulder is visible from the Robinson Park boat launch.

Pets Pets are welcome in Minnesota state parks as long as they are kept on a leash no longer than six feet and are personally attended at all times. Please do not tie pets along pathways or leave them unattended while climbing. Plants Do not remove vegetation from climbs. Trash & Graffiti Keep the park clean and pack out all trash. Report any graffiti in the climbing area to park staff so it can be removed. Trails Use established trails when accessing climbs to prevent erosion and protect the environment. Climbing Permits Climbing areas are regulated under Minnesota State Park Rules (6100.1355(8) Rock Climbing) and are accessible by permit only. Permits are free and valid for one calendar year. They may be obtained at the park office or at a climbers’ parking lot self-registration station. A separate permit is required for each park where you climb.
