From downtown Chattanooga:
- Take US-27 North toward Soddy-Daisy.
- Continue on US-27 for about 10–12 miles.
- Take the exit for TN-153 North toward Dayton Pike.
- After merging, immediately take State Route 319 / Hixson Pike toward Mowbray Mountain.
- Follow SR-319 / Hixson Pike as it winds uphill. After several miles, it becomes Montlake Road.
At the top of the mountain, look for signs for the Montlake Golf Club.
The Stone Fort climbing check-in is inside the clubhouse.
Total drive time is usually 25–30 minutes from downtown Chattanooga.
