The safest route to the summit of Leaning Brave is harder, but safer than the original line, with modern bolts that will actually stop a fall. Begin to the right of the uphill ridge. Pitch 1: (5.8) Climb so-so rock past three bolts, before veering left up and easier, gear-protected slab. Look for an anchor on the left. Pitch 2: (5.9) Step left to delicate moves up a bolted ramp, plugging in a small cam along the way.
