The original route to the top of the Mudpile isn't terrible, but there's not much point in climbing it. Stem a short chimney, exiting to the left, and finish with a short slab crack. You'll have the option of adding a 4th class pitch to the top of The Mudpile, though it's not the sort of summit worth aspiring to.
