The stream through Long Valley seems to be a the barrier for most climbers coming to the Tramway. Everyone seems to travel up the trail right to Round Valley, then head up to Shangri La or the Beach to climb the classic but well trodden boulders there. Little do they know that there are amazing boulders to climb just across the stream from the Ranger Station. The hills surrounding the Adventure Center are peppered with boulders of various size and difficulty. The Adventure Station is a small building which once rented snow shoes and cross country skis. It is at the base of a nice sledding hill which transforms each winter by snowfall into a cool spot to play. But, we can still play on the boulders there and they are a blast! After filing out a permit at the Ranger Station, walk straight along the stream, then left over a big wooden bridge. You will see a group of boulders immediately up on the hillside to your right. This is the Wesco Dildo Cluster. Continue walking on the path as if wraps around the hillside and the hidden Adventure Center comes into view.
