Indian Lake is the heart of this region.  The rock tends to be a gritstone like granite and can generate incredibly unique features.  One of the best boulderfields in the NE can be found here: Snowy Mountain.  This region also includes Crane Mountain and Barton Mine boulders.  Beyond these three areas there is significant potential for more boulders in this region.  There are vast undeveloped boulderfields around Crane, Huckleberry, Peaked, Gore and Blue Mountains.
