Sugarloaf Mountain consists of two main areas: Sugarloaf Westside and Sugarloaf Gully. Westside is steep but short hiking offering mostly face climbs and light to moderate grades. Sugarloaf Gully has a more significant access hike  that is uphill in both directions. The Gully is home to the impressive Mulla Family boulder.

Turn left on Valencia Hill Dr. Park along Spruce St. which meets at the end of Valencia Hill Dr. The trailhead for Sugarloaf Peak Trail is along this street. No parking 2nd and 4th Wednesdays, 11:30am to 3:30pm. While there was parking access to the gully from the north in the past, those areas are industrial and access is now insecure and less feasible. SUGARLOAF WESTSIDE Ample parking at the Riverside Hunter Park Train Station. Cross the street to the dirt path and walk south following the tracks to access Sugarloaf Westside.
