Lincoln Lake is divided into five sectors, formed by natural boundaries and landmarked by some obvious features. 
The first is the Upper Sector, offering some of the highest-altitude bouldering in America.

It is most easily approached from the west parking lot. 
Hike down from the west parking lot on a social trail for 250 yards, 
until a large cliffband appears on your left. 
Cut straight across to the base of the cliff for another 200 yards. 
The Strike Zone Boulder, 40 yards below the cliffband, 
has a number of classics and is clearly visible,

It sits on the eastern edge of the rim of the uppermost bowl or depression that forms the Upper Sector.
