Stand start with a left sidepull and a right mono. A difficult pull off the ground leads to a one-to-two move climb. Stacking pads to make the start higher or to use higher feet reduces the difficulty. Significant grade variance expected.
Felt like I was climbing Sergeant Hightower all over again. π Did it multiple times to really see what the grade felt like for me. Single pad, lower heel. I think the ability to "cheat" the climb will make it difficult to ever have any kind of consensus. Video pays homage to the OG video, if you know you know π
Full split and a heel over my head are pretty much my exact super powers in climbing and this was the hardest one Iβve ever done. Stacking pads makes it much easier lowering the flexibility and strength needed to establish and there being many foot options makes it no so morpho imo.
After around an hour I found a way to establish but I used my hands under the rock to get the heel on then grabbed the start holds (2nd half of my video) this is still valid imo since I never left the ground but I resent it with only holding the start holds and grabbing my own leg to place the heel to be sure (first part of video).
Donβt really agree with many of the grade changes the new Red Rocks moderator has been making that go against the guidebook/ community grades and we are completely different sizes so itβs to be expected
