The full Indian Rock Traverse circumnavigates the entire crag going either direction. These days it’s more common to stay on the steeper west face, traversing either direction from the bottom of the stairs to the southern tip where the foot path begins. Old-schoolers found ways to make strenuous or tricky moves even on the giant slabby faces. The butt-dragging sequence of slopers and power gastons just left of the chimney can be done as a problem on its own.
