Starts high up in a good pocket edge with the left and some bad dimples with the right. If you want V10 for your 8A score card, start on the low split finger edge.

This boulder is the biggest symbol of personal growth in my time as a climber.
On my very first big climbing trip, I road tripped with two of my college friends from Illinois all the way to Joe's Valley, UT. I remember wandering around New Joe's on our first day and my friend making a point to visit Resident Evil to ogle at it. I was so inspired and totally at a loss for how one gets strong enough to climb such a thing.
That trip was such an amazing time that it was the catalyst for future trips, major career changes, and ultimately a life surrounded by climbing.
I got psyched. I got stronger. I trained and climbed a bunch. And then daydreaming of Resident Evil turned into actually trying it.
The first season I came heartbreakingly close to sending. Then, a pandemic and a season later I sent!
Its been my only experience of revisiting a climb at vastly different ability levels and life situations, and it's cemented fondly in my memory because of this.
