A unique zone with climbing on polished and water worn rock in a tight canyon. Often overlooked, Jura Creek offers a good range of climbing with some worthwhile problems with on of the shortest approaches in the Kananaskis area. However, the area is a popular hiking destination which can sometimes be difficult in some of the tighter spot of the entrance canyon. During certain times of the year, water will flow in the landings of some problems, most notably the problems in the "Shark Tank" area often have a stream of water running along the base of the wall.

From the parking area, follow the largest trail heading North West. The are many smaller and braided trails which can makes this difficult, but all of the trails will eventually spit you out in the large washed out drainage of Jura Creek. Follow the drainage upstream to the "Entrance Canyon" area. If heading to the "Pirate Cave" area, take a trail that heads through the forest outside of the drainage on the Eastern hillside. If there is high water the section of canyon just beyond the "Sugar Cube" can be difficult to pass through, there is a bypass trail that heads through the forest outside the drainage on the Western hillside.
