Found just north of Hidden Valley Campground, the Outback is likely the most well trafficked bouldering zone in JTree- and for good reason. Exceptional easy to moderate lines are everywhere, complete with a couple stout and scary ones.

The Outback can be accessed from the Intersection Rock parking lot, located 8.8 miles from the West Entrance station. Left turn at the T intersection. From the lot, walk north through the Hidden Valley Campground inner loop, and continue north out into the open valley which houses the Outback.

The Outback can also be accessed from Roadside Turnout 2(8.4 miles from the West Entrance), on either side of the road. Walk east on a trail until meeting a wash below the massive Blob formation, head north in the wash for just a minute before encountering Laura Scudder and False Hueco on your right. You are now in Outback West.
