This lone arete hides some sweet movement and good crimping. Small crimps run up the gentle overhang leading to a cruxy encounter as the face turns vertical. Start sitting, a hand on the arete and another on a sidepull on the right side. This line used to be much tougher and originally graded V9, but shortly after the FA the arete broke at the crux revealing a large block jug. This break as well as slowly crumbling crimps below have significantly reduced the difficulty, but not quality of this neo-classic climb.
