Some boulders and cliffbands are used by the park to demonstrate primitive shelters, not just for climbing, therefore reduced chalk use is highly recommended. Do not slap chalk onto the rock. Being good stewards and maintaining a healthy relationship with other users and with the park rangers should be a high priority for any visiting climber.
This rad line climbs with long moves all the way out a small but steep roof. A delightful sequence that would easily gain another star if the rock quality was higher. Start matched on an undercling crimp rail and bust a violent move to good jugs under the roof. The big opening crux is followed by another reachy crux sequence below the lip.
