ACCESS SENSITIVE
Some boulders and cliffbands are used by the park to demonstrate primitive shelters, not just for climbing, therefore reduced chalk use is highly recommended. Do not slap chalk onto the rock. Being good stewards and maintaining a healthy relationship with other users and with the park rangers should be a high priority for any visiting climber.

Nestled in northern Osage County, Osage Hills State Park is a special collection of boulders featuring the best sandstone climbing in NE Oklahoma. This is the only established climbing in northern Osage County, an area known to have plenty of solid sandstone boulders and cliffs locked behind fences and private property. The sandstone here lends itself to a steep powerful style with climbing consisting primarily of over 40 established boulders spread over 2 main crags. There are high-quality problems from V4 to V10, making it a great spot for many climbers, but especially for those climbing in an intermediate to advanced range of difficulty. The park rangers here love rock climbers and are excited to see another outdoor community sharing the park, however the rocks and cliffbands are also used for historical purposes to demonstrate primitive shelters. Therefore reduced chalk use is highly recommended. Do not slap chalk onto the rock. Being good stewards and maintaining a healthy relationship with other users and with the park rangers should be a high priority for any visiting climber. A day pass system is in place for all Oklahoma State Parks. Parking at Osage Hills costs $10 a day per vehicle, $8 if purchased online with an Oklahoma license plate. Day passes can be purchased online at https://www.travelok.com/state-parks/osage-hills-state-park and clicking on “Get a Parking Pass”. Carpooling and traveling with friends makes this additional cost fairly reasonable. Parking for 45 Wall, Power Wall, and Scott’s Wall This parking area is the most popular and most spacious. There is an abundance of parking spots available and plenty of room to park on the grass in an overflow situation. All of the nearby areas are less than a 5 minute hike away. Parking for Gamma Wall The grass lot on the south side of the campsite loop is available as paid parking where a sign is posted near the large gate.
