This amazing backcountry location hosts some great boulder problems in an idyllic, desert mountain setting centered around the geologic marvel Crystal Peak. When the sun is out, the quartz crystals in this rhyolitic dome sparkle. Being a part of the northern Wah Wah Mountains, this area holds a lot of moisture. As such, there's more lichen on the boulders, and the rock is a little less solid compared to the rest of Ibex. Also expect to be fully self sufficient out here - it's quite remote with no cell service.

Follow this for 12 miles and you will be bathing in the glory of Crystal Peak!
