The Outer Corral consists of all of the boulders along the Lion's Mane Trail that traverses the Black Mountain Summit. Most of the bouldering is not far off the trail but there are still plenty of boulders hidden along the hillside if you take some time to explore.

Drive approximately 2.2 miles up Black Mountain Road to a sharp switchback surrounded with boulders. There is parking available in the pullouts on either side of the spur.
