The traditional climber will find a world of moderate classics at Parvin Lake, where as the hard sport climber can test their skills on Marilyn Monroe**** 13d. Basically a nice variety for every climber in a lovely setting. The history of the climbing here most likely begins with Parvin Lake, but sadly that history has been lost to time (see that chapter for more details). During the late 90s / early 2000s, the bouldering potential began to be explored and that history is more defined / known. Climbers such as Hank Jones, Travis Shipman, Jon Reece, Pat Goodman, Jeremy Bisher, Geoff Sluyter, Jason Tarry, Ryan Anglemeyer, Cam Cross, Dave Ludders, Chuck Fryberger, and the author established many of the classic at the Lady Moon Trailhead, Parvin Lake, and the Private Area. Later in the 2000s, climbers like Jacob Ojile, Colin Kopitzke, and Jason Nadeau found even more gems scattered through the Lady Moon Trailhead. The Lady Moon Trailhead and the Mt. Margaret Trailhead are some of the most popular trails in Red Feather Lakes. So PLEASE, be respectful of other users including horseback riders who will prefer your dogs to be on leash when you are near them. The climbing areas around the Lady Moon Trailhead comprise some of the most obvious climbing off the Red Feather Lakes Rd (CR 74E).
