The usual suspects of Pablo Zuleta and Jesse Evans were responsible for the first forays into bouldering here in 2014 and established classics such as: Angry Buddha, Wild Obsessions, The Prospector, Ministry of Magic and Wishing Well. Local hardman Ben Herrington also added the clean and dynamic classics Center Stage and Stage Fright to make the list of testpieces at this area quite stacked. Don't skip out on this awesome zone!
Drive 6.8 miles up the Miller River Road and park on the right hand side in a small gravel pullout. A climber's trail leads down the steep embankment into the dense forest and the river basin below. In late summer and fall you can make a shallow water river crossing straight towards the boulders though most climbers opt for a log crossing that can be found just in the vicinity of the Wishing Well Boulder.
***A washout of the Miller River Road shortly after the Morpheus Area has forced a longer approach. Walking down the road from the furthest Road Closure markings is now mandatory; though all the same coordinates and directions apply.***
Explore Miller River from all levels with KAYA PRO. Drill down to the area, subarea, boulder and climb levels. Get approach information for each, and a variety of beta.
