The latter home to one of Washington's most famous testpieces: King Slayer. Morpheus is characterized by absolutely excellent rock quality and a wide array of styles from techy slabs to overhung power-fests. There's something for everyone here and it's one of the Skykomish Valley's best areas overall.
Park in the large pullout on the right 3.5 miles up the Miller River Road. Walk up the old mining road grade keeping an eye out for the first boulders after about 10 minutes. The first zone you reach will be the Cardoor/Trail Boulders. Another 5 or so minutes up the old road will get you to the Landjäger Boulder which sits at the intersection of the main trail and the washout. Head up the wash for 5 more minutes into the Washout Boulder maze or continue down the trail to the log crossing for the Devil's Club Forest area then eventually to the 420 Boulders found on either side of the trail.
Explore Miller River from all levels with KAYA PRO. Drill down to the area, subarea, boulder and climb levels. Get approach information for each, and a variety of beta.
