Though just yards away from The Gate, The East Gate wasn't developed until decades later in the 90's. It is packed with great problems on quality rock, but it is a little harder to navigate and less busy than it's more popular neighbor. 'Round Room' is really unique and one of the most popular intermediates in the canyon. Other popular intermediates include 'Anonymous Arete', 'Coffee Girl', 'Red Stain' and 'Hidden Arete'. Selection gets thinner in the advanced range, but 'M&M Roof' is a popular line and the newer 'Sunrise Arete' high in the talus and 'Jameson Breakfast' out east in The Farm zone are both worth a visit. Elite potential can be found on undone projects including some near the parking lot and many more up in the newer areas.
