The In-Between Area isn’t a bad area it’s just that people get distracted before they get to it. Despite hosting a good handful of classics, the area is still relatively undeveloped compared to the areas it sits between. Drive about 2.3 miles past the front gate to arrive at the Tilted Tree parking area, which is comprised of two pull-offs, one on each side of the road, and is now marked with clear signage. This parking area is about 0.5 miles from the overlook parking area. From the parking area, hike past a green gate down a gravel road for about a minute until you see a climber’s trail, sometimes marked with a small cairn, branching off downhill to the right. As you drop into the boulder field (Tilted Tree), a large slab will be seen immediately to the left (Four Ton Katydid V2). Head right, past the obvious Question Mark V5 to head towards the Fiddle Block and Moby’s Area. After passing the popular boulders of Tilted Tree, continue along a dirty wall on the right until you see Toppled V4 to your left. This marks the start of the In-Between Area. Alternatively, to access the lines at the other side of the In-Between Area, one can approach from Roadside Rocks by following the trail past Sunset Wall (the obvious trad and toproping area) until reaching the Diamond and the Cave Area, next to Comedian Wall (another short trad and toproping wall).
