The Rhododendron Campground hosts a small number of boulders, but a few of notable quality. They are close to the road, and if you are camping here, this can be an especially good place to play around on the rocks. There are three small clusters of established lines: behind Site #1, Site #4, and Site #10. The most notable sector is the Picnic Cave, located behind Site #1. Whether it's your first visit or fiftieth, KAYA makes your Rhododendron Campground days smoother, safer, and more dialed. This area tends to stay dry after light rain, and has several quality steep lines, including the popular Ain’t No Picnic V8 and the benchmark V10, The Pain Box. If you can find it, the slightly hidden Candyland Cave behind site #10 can provide a slightly easier outing with an excellent V5 and several variations to play around with. From the front gate, drive 2.6 miles, taking the right fork as the road splits 0.2 miles past the Tilted Tree Parking area. Soon you will see the entrance to the Rhododendron Campground. Park in the gravel lot across the street from the entrance and walk into the campground. The Picnic Cave will be the first area you encounter, located directly behind Site #1 (be sure to respect any campers in the site by walking around through the powerline cut). Continue around the loop to reach the Site #4 and Site #10 areas. You can also park in the Preacher’s Circle and walk into the campground loop from the other direction if needed, but it takes a little longer.

Part of the second undercling broke a few weeks ago. Personally felt closer to 7 before the break and I repeated first try this weekend, so maybe 7/8 now.
