The Coopers Rock front office somehow was not noticed for a long period of time. Though the bouldering here is essentially roadside, it wasn’t until winter 2018 that the area was developed, beginning with the classic marathon roof problem Kick Against the Pricks V7. This roof is the reason most people will come here, but there are a handful of moderates, some long traverses, and some great pocket climbing on the Cookie Cutter Wall that are worth your time. Please respect the fact that this area is behind the superintendent’s quarters, and do not climb here at night.

From I-68 eastbound, get off exit 15 (Coopers Rock) and take a left, away from the main gate. Cross the overpass and take a left at the stop sign, quickly followed by a right turn into the parking area. From the parking area, walk perpendicular to the road, straight into the woods around the barn and past the trailer. The UFO roof will be the first boulder you encounter.
Explore Coopers Rock from all levels with KAYA PRO. Drill down to the area, subarea, boulder and climb levels. Get approach information for each, and a variety of beta.
