Calico Basin South refers to the cluster of boulders found in either the vicinity of Cannibal Crag, the speckled climbs along the hillside/trail further down, within the east side of Guardian Angel Pass, or on the Girl Scout Trail. Calico Basin South is located on the northern end of Red Rock Canyon within the broader Calico Basin area. No fee or reservation needed. From the intersection of Charleston Blvd and the 215, drive 4 miles west onto SR159. Turn right onto Calico Basin Rd, followed by a right onto Calico Dr near the Red Spring parking lot, and a left onto Assisi Canyon Ave. Park alongside the road on either Assisi Canyon Ave or Sandstone Dr. During peak season, roadside parking can overflow, so plan accordingly. Do not park or drive on Little Springs Rd. After parking, you will exit onto the Calico Basin trail from the corner of Assisi Canyon Ave and Sandstone Dr.
