Oak Creek Canyon is unique in that it has three different trailheads one of which is accessed via the last stop in the loop, the other two are accessed without entering the loop at all. As the North and South zones are generally approached differently, they are split for ease of use.

Oak Creek Canyon South refers to sporadic boulders underneath Mount Wilson near the Beehive Knoll and accessed via the South Oak Creek Trail on SR159. Be prepared to hike.

A designated hiking trail west out of the lot takes you towards the climbs below Mt. Wilson.
