From South Lake Tahoe: From Meyers take Hwy 50 west, past the intersection with Highways 88/89, and head up Echo Summit for 3.2 miles. Pass the California Alpine Club Lodge, drive 0.1 miles and turn left onto Forest Service Road 1104. Continue for 100 yds and park next to the boulders in various pullouts. Please respect others by not parking right next to the summer cabins. From Sacramento: Take Hwy 50 east and reset your odometer at the Sierra-at-Tahoe resort entrance. At 1.7 miles, near a passing lane, you’ll see a sign for Berkeley Camp and Echo Lake. Turn left here and follow this road for 2.4 miles to find Forest Service Road 1104 on your right. Continue for 100 yds and park next to the boulders in various pullouts. Please respect others by not parking right next to the summer cabins. For the Blue Diamonds: Follow the driving directions listed above to the Alpine Club boulders parking area. Continue on Forest Service Road 1104 for another 0.25 miles south. There is a dirt road branching off right of a left hand hairpin turn. You can park along here and walk two minutes to the Big Pig Boulder, which is right on the dirt road. For the White Spider boulder, continue up the paved road for 50 yds and then traverse up right for a minute.
