ABOUT Kingsbury Grade

This digital Kingsbury Grade climbing guidebook gives you GPS navigation, verified topos, and beta for hundreds of climbs. Explore classics and hidden gems with offline access to maps, directions, and beta videos. Whether it's your first visit or fiftieth, KAYA makes your Kingsbury Grade days smoother, safer, and more dialed.

Kingsbury Grade sat in limbo for many years staying mostly undeveloped, save for the classic Foxy Lady V8. It was a minor East Shore zone, or so it seemed. That all changed in 2019 with the discovery of King’s Landing. This zone is loaded with a great variety of climbs and the circuit is fairly extensive. The approaches are easy, the rock is good, and the views are spectacular. “Foxy Lady” is no longer the only thing up here worth checking out. Come see for yourself. Please maintain a low profile when parking near houses to access some of the areas.

Take US Hwy 50 East as it passes through the casinos of Stateline, Nevada. Turn right on NV Hwy 207 East, and travel 3.1 miles up the grade. Just before the summit, turn right on Tramway Drive and follow it for 0.5 miles, and park on the left just past the Fox and Hound (Dagget’s Station). On the other side of the road up on the hilltop is a cluster of boulders including Foxy Lady. Cross the road and go past the far left side of a wooden retaining barrier and hike 1 minute up the hill to the boulder. For King’s Landing: You will find driving and approach directions in the beta boxes at the start of the sub-section further in this chapter.
