The rock is good, the approaches are mostly short and the location is beautiful. DRIVING: From the South Lake Tahoe intersection of Hwy 50/89, take Hwy 89 south over Luther Pass. Take a right onto Hwy 88 toward Kirkwood at Pickett's Junction. At 3.8 miles turn left on Blue Lakes Road. All of the areas are accessed from this road. You'll find specific directions to each area in beta boxes at the beginning of each area's section.
