The Diamond Peak areas feature a vast collection of boulders spread across ridgelines and tucked in gullies near the Diamond Peak Ski Resort. These boulders extend from the ski area northwest all the way to the Incline Viewpoint on Mount Rose. While the rock here is generally good granite, it can sometimes be a bit crumbly due to the sunny and exposed conditions of the area. One advantage of the Diamond Peak region is that it tends to get less snow than other areas around the lake, so it’s often climbable when other spots are covered in snow.

Given the sprawling nature of this area, I've divided it into several sections to make navigating it easier. The majority of the areas can be accessed from the Diamond Peak Ski Resort parking lot, but a few sections require parking up on Mount Rose. For each section, specific driving directions and approach information can be found at the start of the individual subsections.
