DRIVING: From South Lake Tahoe or Minden take Hwy 89 to Markleeville. Reset your odometer at the general store in downtown and continue south on Hwy 89 towards Ebbets Pass for 6.3 miles and park on the right in a large pullout next to the river. Look south east across the road and you will see a rocky gully with large rock formations on the right side. The Ronin boulder lies just 50 yds up this gully.
