For Mama Cat: Drive 4.7 miles from Pickett’s Junction and park on the left in a small pullout by an old locked gate. Mama Cat will be visible 50 yds to the east. For the Stone House Boulders: Drive 0.1 miles back up the canyon from Mama Cat and park just below a giant split boulder with graffiti on it that sits right above the road. This boulder is the Stone House Boulder and it has a few OK problems. Sitting just uphill from here you will find a few better boulders. For the Telephone Pole Boulders: Drive 1.5 miles from Pickett’s Junction and park on the left in a big pullout by a huge split boulder. This Boulder is “Noah’s Arête.” The rest of the boulders are no more than 100 yds away, directly below the power lines. For the Kit Carson Campground Boulders: Drive 1.3 miles from Pickett’s Junction and park on either side of the road at the entrance to Kit Carson Campground. Stone Mason and He-Man are just uphill from the entrance to the campground. The rest of the boulders are just off the road that leads into the campground. Several of the boulders sit right in campsites. Do not climb on these boulders if the sites are occupied. For the Spoiled Rotten Boulders: Drive 2.7 miles from Pickett’s Junction and turn left onto a small road. Follow the road over a bridge and continue for 100 yds until you see the Spoiled Rotten Boulders on your left between the road and the river. The majority of the climbs sit practically in the river and are only climbable during low water.
