This rig starts matched on a nice jug down and left of the Man Boy start holds. You do a handful of moves and end up linking into and finishing on Man Boy. I’m not 100% if I’m the first to do it or not, but I can’t find any evidence of it having been done before, at least not from the jug; it sounds like someone did it from a hold or two higher. To me this is THEE line on the boulder, especially now that the right hand start hold on Man Boy doesn’t really exist. That line still goes though and should be its own thing as it has been. Royal Extacy to me is the full line from a very obvious and clear start that follows the natural shape of the boulder with a sequence that I absolutely love. Man was I syked when it first started to unfold! The moves are spanned and compressy with a very cool recycle thrown in there. It took me 3 sessions to do this thing even though I had it in two sections on the first sesh. It felt hard to me. I thought it might be V11 at one point, but after sending I no longer felt that way, but I’m really curious to hear other opinions. Regardless, I didn’t climb this one for the grade in any way. I was purely drawn to the line.
