The sit start to Teepee Traverse. Start on the lowest holds on the arete. Make a tough move to a crimp then gain the start holds on Teepee. Finish on Teepee.
This thing is awesome!! Good rock, a nice sit start, quality movement, a beautiful line, and a tricky finish. After doing Altitude Stasis and The Thing the light was fading fast so I didn’t have much time left. I flashed to the end but had the wrong beta, got scared, and bailed. Without much rest I quickly took a few tries to sort out the mantle, which really isn’t that bad once you know it. And because I was rushed and not resting enough, I had to try the first move a couple more times but once I stuck it I climbed to the top. Overall I pulled on 7 times. Really fun, flowy climbing! I don’t know how this one ever got thought of as V10. It just doesn’t even seem like it’s in the ballpark. Even V9 feels like a stretch when you compare it to others in the area. Gription, Lindner’s Roof, High Value Target, Boris Sit, Loose Cannon, etc. are all harder than this. The first move is hard and the end is just a matter of figuring it out. Everything in between is really not that bad. I suppose the one crossback move and unwind is a little tricky and provides some challenge, but not enough to put it into the 9 range imo. But man, it sure is a nice boulder problem!
Only adds 2 moves to Teepee Traverse but was so much harder. I probably fell on the first move like 50 times. Super excited and emotional to get this done before the end of the season - 5 sessions!
